Here is an article about a Friends of the Library book sale in the old Suskins store building on Middle Street in New Bern, NC. I was at the sale on November 28, 1981, and the article ran on December 2, 1981.

The person running the sale and I were the only people there when the photographer came in to document the sale, so we posed for the picture. The books were only ten cents. I bought a set of “Stoddard’s Lectures.”
